STACY & SHAUN: The 15 Year Journey | Precious Interview

Stacy and Shaun met at a funeral. She'd flown to Jamaica to bury her uncle; Shaun was the musician playing keyboard at the celebration of life. She stared all night. They talked in his car until 6 or 7 a.m. That was Chapter 1 of what Stacy calls the Stacy-and-Shaun saga — 15 years long. We filmed their wedding at Eden Regal Ballroom, Stacy in a custom Lena Berisha gown she bought unseen, overseas.
How they met
Stacy: We met at the celebration of life for my uncle. In Jamaica, we went to bury my uncle and Shaun was one of the musicians playing. I saw him and kept staring all night (he'll tell you he saw me first). He was so handsome and the way he played the keyboard was so passionate. I stayed until he was able to take a break. We talked in his car until about 6 or 7 a.m.
Shaun is overly attractive, and not just in looks. His looks drew me in, but his passion and how deeply he loves keep me coming back every time.
Stacy is the perfect balance for me between brains and physique. She is gorgeous and sexy as can ever be.
The sparkle moment
Stacy: It was the very night we met. I didn't realize it then — but that night was the foundation of the Stacy-and-Shaun saga.
If our love story were a feeling, it would be pure oxytocin.
The proposal
Stacy: Shaun knew I wanted us to do a photoshoot together. He planned the whole date. I just knew the day, time, location, and dress code. We got to the park and the photographer got to work. After pictures in different areas of the park, we came up to the largest tree. The photographer asked to take solo shots of me. She told me where to face and how to position myself — then told me to look over my right shoulder.
I did, and glanced down. Shaun was on one knee with the open ring box in his hand. After a few words he popped the question. Of course I said yes.
The day
Stacy: At first we thought about a destination wedding in Jamaica. With our guest count, it got too expensive. We found an all-inclusive venue that was absolutely gorgeous — food, alcohol, cake, tables, and chairs included. So a lot of work was already done for us.
I knew my dress designer from 2018: Lena Berisha. I fell in love with her skirt design — the layered ruffles were gorgeous. I went to try on other dresses, but nothing gave me the excitement Lena's brought me. Her location was overseas, so I wouldn't see or try the dress before buying. I didn't care. I spoke with the consultant, made tweaks, and they came through. I'm still in love with it.
The moments they'd relive
Shaun: Seeing her walk down the aisle. Just how gorgeous Stacy looked.
Stacy: Entering the reception. It felt like the stress of the wedding was over and now it was time for fun.
If our love story were a song, it would be Back at One — Brian McKnight. And if it were a feeling: inseparable.
Dear Stacy & Shaun
Fifteen years from that 6 a.m. conversation in a Jamaican parking lot to vows at Eden Regal. Thank you for letting us document the chapter where the saga became a marriage. Fairytales are real.
Sincerely yours, Precious Pics
