BRIDGET & ANDREW: Two Rats that Fell in Love | Precious Interview

Bridget and Andrew met on their first day at Rowan University, in the campus Barnes & Noble. She was a freshman, he was a sophomore, and a week later they had their first real date. Twelve years of those dates later — including a sunrise boardwalk walk in Ocean City and a proposal at the pavilion where they used to sit for hours — we filmed their wedding at Richwood Methodist and the reception at Westwood Golf Club.
How they met
Bridget: Andrew and I met at Rowan University — right in the Barnes & Noble bookstore. It was our first day of school. I was a freshman and he was a sophomore. We started talking, and a week later we had our first official date.
Andrew is smart, loving, humble, dependable, kind to everyone, and handsome. He truly is the complete package. He has a heart of gold and I can't believe I was lucky enough to marry him.
Since the first day I met him we just clicked — as if I had known him my whole life. We always said we didn't believe in soulmates, but that changed the day I met him. He is the only thing I need in this life. He is my home.
Ever since knowing Bridget, she has continuously inspired me to be the best version of myself — as a person and as a partner. She is the love of my life, my soulmate, and the most beautiful person I've ever known.
I consider myself the luckiest man in the world to be able to say that she is my wife, and that I get to spend the rest of my life with her.
The sparkle moment
Bridget: There were early signs — but the one that stays with me is the day we drove down to Ocean City, NJ to watch the sunrise on a chilly March morning. It was freezing, and we still walked the boardwalk for hours just talking. That's how soulmates recognize each other.
If our love story were a feeling, it would be safe.
The proposal
Bridget: Andrew picked me up very early on September 5th, 2021. He took me to the beach — we got breakfast and collected seashells. Next stop was Chickie's & Pete's, where we had our first date. Then the park, where we had our second date. He popped the question in the pavilion where we used to sit and talk for hours.
After he proposed, he told me the theme of the day was all the places he fell in love with me.
If our love story were a word, it would be perfect.
The day
Bridget went for timeless and elegant — sage green bridesmaid dresses, bouquets of light pink. Her dress came from the Father of the Bride and Runaway Bride era of her childhood: lace and long sleeves, nothing fussy. She planned the wedding mostly with her mom and Andrew.
The moment Bridget would relive
Bridget: The first look. After waiting to see Andrew all morning, I was so excited to finally see him and have a moment to ourselves before the hectic day officially started. It was unforgettable.
If our love story were a song, it would be Better Together — Jack Johnson.
Dear Bridget & Andrew
Thank you for letting us stand in the middle of the sparkle moment — the sunrise walk, the pavilion, the first look. Fairytales are real.
Sincerely yours, Precious Pics
