Fast Wedding Photo Delivery: Our 14-Day Promise
The industry average for wedding photo delivery in the US is between 6 and 12 weeks. Some high-end studios quote 16. Our standard is 14 days. This post is for couples comparing photographers and trying to figure out whether "14 days" on a website actually means 14 days.
What 14 days actually covers
The full edited gallery. Every frame we're keeping, color-corrected, cropped, retouched where needed, and uploaded to a private online gallery with high-res downloads. Not a highlight reel. Not a preview-only.
What couples get in the first 14 days
- Within 48 hours: 20–30 sneak-peek images for social and family texts
- Within 14 days: the full gallery — usually 500–1,200 images depending on coverage hours
- Within 14 days: downloadable high-res files for print, plus a web-optimized share version
- Within 14 days: vendor-share access so planners and florists can pull their own images
Why most studios can't hit 14 days
Two reasons, and they're boring:
- Booking volume outruns editing capacity. Photographers who book 50+ weddings a year without scaling the editing side end up with a backlog that gets worse each month of the season.
- Editing is outsourced without QA. Sending raw files to a third-party editor is fine. Sending them without a QA pass means inconsistent color across the gallery, and the fix is to redo it.
Our editing team scales with our shoot volume, and every gallery gets a final QA from the lead photographer who shot the day. That's the whole trick. No extra secret.
The part nobody mentions
Your memory of the wedding day is clearest in the first two weeks. After a month, it starts compressing — you remember the highlights but lose the small moments. A gallery delivered in 14 days hits while the day is still fully in your head. A gallery delivered in 10 weeks hits a different person with a different memory.
This is the quiet reason we built our workflow around 14 days. The photos are better when you see them sooner.
Coast to coast, same number
We shoot in all 50 states and deliver on the same 14-day window whether the wedding was in Miami or Missoula. Destination coverage outside the US gets quoted case-by-case, but the editing pipeline is the same.
The day we decided 14 days was the promise instead of the best case, the whole back office got better. Constraints do that.
